Local Missions
In addition to mission trips and starting churches around the world we seek to have deep roots of serving and sharing right here in our own back yard in Faulkner County. Much of our ministry to the community is done at Gatlin Park where we host several free and needed events throughout the year. For instance, an Eggnormous, 20,000 piece Egg Hunt, a 150’ Slip-N-Slide, VBS in the Park, Community Kids Kickball Game, and a Build-A-Backpack event for kids of Ida Burns Elementary.
We serve and are connected with Renewal Ranch and Bethlehem House and look for creative ways to meet people’s needs and serve our folks right here around us. You might see us Caroling and serving hot chocolate at the Downtown Christmas Tree, passing out smoke alarms to our neighbors, or even buying people’s gas for the opportunity to pray with them. We want to be the hands and feet of Jesus.
ONECHURCH International
As we dream and plan for what God has for the future of ONECHURCH INTERNATIONAL we are excited about the prospects of:
- Starting a feeding program at the church in Mozambique and sending more teams to share in ministry there.
- Continuing pastor training and additional church starts in Zambia as well as sending more teams to journey deep into the bush and share the gospel in unreached areas.
- Continuing encouraging and growing the English-Speaking church work on Caye Caulker, Belize.
BIG PICTURE
We want to begin by saying a huge ‘THANK YOU’ to everyone who has given and supported the work we have been a part of around the world in Belize, Mozambique, and Zambia. We have seen God do things only He can do. It has been amazing to bear witness to God’s saving grace and to see people of all places come to a saving faith in Jesus Christ!
Within the the first three years of ONECHURCH INTERNATIONAL God has used our efforts to establish 4 churches, begin regular Bible studies for over 800 people, to train up to 30 pastors, to feed 160 children daily, and lead countless individuals to Christ!
IN MOZAMBIQUE
We have planted a church with Healing Place there in Matola, Mozambique. It began with a trip where we walked a property and prayed over the people in that area. To date, we have purchased them a piece of property, have helped them to build a building, and even sent teams to share in ministry. In spite of Covid they have experienced spiritual and numerical growth.
IN ZAMBIA
We started by bringing on Sanderson Sianjina as our Missionary Partner in Zambia. On a monthly basis he is preaching, sharing the gospel, providing food, drilling wells, and training pastors in the region. Sanderson does regular church leader training for over 30 pastors and yearly reaches over 70 church leaders to teach them how to preach, teach, and share the truth of the gospel.
IN BELIZE
We do work on a small island called Caye Caulker. Over the years we have done vacation bible school for the children on the island as well as provide food to needy families, build bunkbeds, and care for widows. Recently we have joined efforts with Pastor Oscar who has been our long-time friend and contact on the island, to begin a formal partnership as we together begin an English-Speaking church on the island.
IN ARIZONA
We are super excited that we are getting to help support two churches in Arizona. One in Peach Springs and one in Dolan Springs. God has already begun to pour out favor and blessing upon both these works. We look forward to going back there this summer (2024) and again hosting VBS and loving people.
